Caregivers Connect Workshops

If you’re caring for an aging or ill family member and feeling exhausted or overwhelmed, you’re not alone. Join me and my colleague, Shelly Rankin, for Caregivers Connect—an intimate group experience that will transform how you navigate this challenging journey.

In our supportive community, you’ll find a safe space to share, learn practical tools that will improve your experience of caregiving, connect with expert resources, and most importantly, care for yourself while caring for others.

Inner Compass Groups

DBT-Based Skills Groups for Emotional Resilience & Intentional Living

Inner Compass Groups are led by Kathy Purdy, LMFT and are DBT skills-based sessions designed to enhance emotional understanding, effective communication, and value-driven decision-making.

Rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), these groups provide practical tools for:

  • staying present during stress,

  • managing intense emotions,

  • building healthier communication and boundaries,

  • responding thoughtfully in difficult moments,

  • living a values-guided life.

    TWO IN-PERSON GROUPS: START DATE is MAY 6, 2026

    Location: Newport Beach.

  • Cost: $50/session

1) Inner Compass: Women Thriving

Wednesdays 12:30 - 2:00 pm | 8-Week Series

A supportive space for women in midlife and beyond to grow and thrive. Integrating evidence-based DBT skills with the 4 pillars of Dr. Kerry Burnight's Joyspan, this group builds emotional resilience, strengthens relationships, and helps you create a more meaningful, satisfying next chapter.

2) Inner Compass: Young Adults

Wednesdays 12:30 - 2:00 pm | 8-Week Series

Moving toward independence can feel exciting, confusing, and overwhelming. Integrating evidence-based DBT skills, this group gives you practical tools to manage depression and anxiety, build confidence, strengthen self-trust, and improve communication and decision making.

*GROUP TIMES ARE SUGGESTED AND MAY ADJUST SLIGHTLY BASED ON INTEREST AND ENROLLMENT.
